Happy Easter!

I love making props for newborn portraits. Keeping with that theme, Easter is almost here so I thought a bunny hat would be great. I used blue for the ears, but it could be any color you like. I had my nephew in mind when I was making this lol.

Monkeys by demand

I have had a few requests to make a sock monkey hat. I tried following a couple of patterns, but it never came out quite right. Last night I picked up my crochet needle and just started crocheting and this is what I came up with. I need to learn to trust myself when it comes to designing a crochet beanie, because those always come out the best :).

Emma really likes this one as you can see.

Precious

First, I started out making blankets, then I made hair clips and now I'm making baby props! I think these are the cutest projects I've made so far. When my sister-in-law asked me to make something for her little boy's newborn portraits, I was so excited. I started thinking about their interests and I came up with these cute Ideas! I love creating things that make people, who I love, happy.

Halloween creations

So, it has been a while since my last post. I have been busy planning my wedding and my little girl's birthday party. Now I have some spare time to do things I actually like, such as crocheting of course. My favorite holiday is coming up, Halloween! If you know me then you know my favorite all time movie is Nightmare before Christmas. I love dressing up. It is so much fun! I have a little one now so I have the pleasure of dressing her up as well.

This year it is all about Minnie Mouse so that is what Emma is going as. Zack wanted to join in the fun so he decided he wanted to be Goofy. He asked me to try and come up with a Goofy hat so I sat down and made something that resembles Goofy's hat with ears.

I also made a cute little Halloween beanie with a bat hair clip (pattern found here

As requested

I received a request to design a cupcake hairclip. It took me a couple tries, but here is the end result. I love that someone asked me to do this. I've been wanting to make a cupcake design, but never had the motivation to do it. It looks so cute in Emma's hair. I might let her wear it all day.
